If you do not wish to be invoiced for this amount - then do not add any email address at any domain owned by us to any mailing list you run. We wil accept emails to the effect:
We run a mailing list to which you may like to subscribe. If so, click on the link below. You will then be sent an acknowledgement email and will be subscribed to the list only when you confirm by answering this email.Such exploratory emails may not be sent more frequently than once per year or they will be invoiced as herein explained.
Email boxes at our domains can of course request addition to your list, when we expect a conformation email from your list - to which the requester will reply in confirmation. This is the system known as 'Confirmed Opt-in'.
We will only allow mailboxes to unsubscribe from mailing lists by a reverse process.
This is the standard mailing list behaviour and is operated by list run by Googlegroups.com, Yahoogroups.com, Freelists.org and by software such as Mailman, Majordomo and others. It is the only mailing list behaviour which we will tolerate.
Any mailing list item received which includes an 'opt-out' feature will be treated as unsolicited and will be charged as above. This applies to all mail boxes at the following domains
As a footnote, we would also point out that under EEC guidelines it is illegal to send unsolicited emails. If we invoice you, you have the choice of paying the invoice or arguing your case in the county court!
